It was a cold morning when I went walking and immediately I stepped out the door, the Holy Spirit brought to mind the lesson that I heard a few days back that I totally missed.
Along my usual route, I came across some broken beer bottles. I sensed the Holy Spirit was prompting me to gather them together in a heap for collection next time, and so I proposed in my heart to bring a bag on such an occasion.
It wasn’t an easy job I must say, what with me using a stick to bring them together, but I obeyed nonetheless and did the work. At that moment I honestly thought that I was doing an environmental job but I didn’t realize that it had a spiritual and deeper meaning behind it.
I continued on my walk and about two miles ahead, I came across other pieces of glass on concrete that were scattered and for the life of me I couldn’t put them together. I had hoped that maybe I’d help the person who cleans up by bringing a dustpan and a little broom to collect them later but I soon heard that that wasn’t the lesson at hand.
That while yes, it was a physical one, it was more spiritual.
There are many broken people in the Kingdom of God, and the Father is sending us to bring these souls together. We, ourselves, cannot do the mending because once the glass is broken it can’t be put together unless it is melted and moulded again. People, or in this case, souls, can only be mended by God.
As I had this revelation, the Holy Spirit also said that the broken people are brittle just like broken glass. They are very fragile and vulnerable. You have to be sure to handle them with care because they can cut or prick you and this is not because they want to, but because of the situations they have been through.
We must understand that people who have known hurt for a long time, often hurt others because that is what the world has taught them.
Take for example a meeting I went to yesterday where people who had gone through divorce were present. Divorce, is an experience that can break you. It ends up making someone angry and hard and is a horrible current in the physical world. But this is where God is sending us as true light and believers of God and one thing I have learnt is that when you yield to God a painful situation, He does Heal and make you whole again.
When I came to this realization of the message the Holy Spirit was presenting to me, I was sorry that I missed it but I also laughed at this because I honestly thought that God just wanted me to do an environmental clean up! Isn’t God just interesting in how He works?
When we are truly strengthened, we can end up being of help to someone else.
So yes, broken people are brittle, fierce and we must handle them with gloves because like the big piece I had to pick up earlier, I had to use my winter gloves to do so otherwise I would have gotten cut. Therefore, once we put them together, we find, that God does the rest because He is the potter. He is loving and kind to all His creation.
I am excited and I am willing for the Lord to use me and equip me in the way He would want me, so I may be able to accomplish His will, are you?
I’d like to take this moment to speak to God:
Thank you Father for the lessons of the week. Help me to remember to always put on my armour. Thank you for being merciful and protective. Thank you for opening my eyes to see and I lift up every broken vessel on the earth and whoever may be reading this and is in need of your healing today.
I lift them up to you because you are the one who can melt and remold each and every person to be the way you intended them to be. I know you did not let me go through all that I have gone through in vain, but I am here to recover and restore. I am willing to be used by you for restoration to recreate, mould, and prepare those that come my way and are willing for your Kingdom.
Lord, I’m praying that you will draw them to have a personal relationship with you. I claim each and every one of them. I bind Satan from their lives in the name of Jesus and I take authority over each and every arrow of the enemy sending it back to the sender in the name of Jesus and Father you said where two are agreed it is agreed in heaven. You are my two Holy Spirit.
These souls will not be lost or in vain. I gather each and every broken spirit and soul and I lift them up to you. I claim their souls for redemption in the mighty name of Jesus.
Father, I ask that you cover each and every one of them so that they will not die prematurely before they come to an encounter with you.
Father, thank you I praise you and worship you in Jesus’ name amen.
Amen. His body was broken for us so that we could be made whole.
