A Moment Of Gratitude

I was determined on my walk today just to be thankful. 

I started off walking and it was quiet at first then I heard the words – follow me. I said follow you, follow you who? Is it you Holy Spirit or is it you Jesus?

Then I heard, “Follow me as I followed the Father”

“Remember when I walked the earth,” I heard the voice say, “everywhere I went, the crowds followed me and that is because I had the light of God.”

When you are walking in the Word and in the light, you are following God. You are the child of God and you know which way to walk because His voice speaks to you on which way you should walk and you walk that way.

It’s just like if you are going to the supermarket right now, do you cut across and just walk through the aisles? No, you follow a path and the same can be said for when you begin walking towards God.

When you follow me and follow the light that I walk in, you’re following God.

All I said to that was “Father, thank you. Thank you for your guidance, thank you for your light. Thanks for ordering my steps, so I don’t stumble”

Then when I turned around, I saw this path leading me towards where I used to have a condo and then the voice said,  ‘I know you gave that up to walk with Walter. (my late husband)’.

Thereafter I heard something that really shocked me, I heard God thanking me for giving up my life to walk with Walter. 

He said,  ‘Thank you. I will give you much more. Everything you gave up to walk with Walter, you will get much more.”  and can I just say, it was worth it, especially being able to lead him to confess Jesus as Lord, yes it was worth it. 

This conversation between me and God brought tears to my eyes and I started weeping just because I started thinking, why would God thank me, why would God thank me for doing what He has wired me to do.

I said, ‘God, you wired me to do it, you gave me the grace, you enabled me, thank you for choosing me for that task. Thank you.’ 

It was me thanking God and God thanking me and I’m like who am I that God should thank me….

So I’d like to take today to say a simple but heartfelt thank you to Our Father:

I’m grateful to you Lord, for all that you have given me, for all that you’ve done for me, for all that you’ve done for me and my family. For provision, for life, for mercy, for grace, for strength, thank you Lord.

I thank you God for being my Jehovah Jireh, being my Jehovah Rapha, being my Jehovah Nissi. My Jehovah Shalom, my Jehovah Shammah, my Jehovah Tshikenu, my Jehovah Nissi, my Jehovah Mekadesh. Thank you Father, for being my God.

Thank you for creating me to walk this earth and thank you for the children that you’ve given me and the children that you’ve given us. They are for signs and wonders on this earth and we shall live because we are more than conquerors.

We are overcomers, no weapons formed against us can prosper, everything we are purposed to do on this earth, we shall fulfill. I know because I know God is walking with us as we choose to walk with Him.

Thank you Lord for that light and I follow you Lord Jesus, even as you followed the Father through your spirit I know you’re enabling me to do the impossible. Thank you Lord, thank you.

Thank you for my family, thank you for who you are. 

You’re a great and marvelous God. I’m grateful to be called your child, thank you for choosing me to be your child. Thank you Lord for all  that you have done for me. Done for us and done for us here on this earth, thank you for the children of the world.

Bless each and every child that is walking this earth because they are our seed, they are our inheritance, they are our future. 

Father, thank you, I’m grateful for today. Thank you Father,  I bless your Holy name in Jesus name, thank you.
