The Earth and its fullness belongs to God.

–  Psalms 24:1

For all intents and purposes the majority of earth dwellers act and live like they own the earth and this got me curious, so I googled for the meaning of the word ‘Belongs’ and this is what I got: =’e the rightful possession of

…..and look at what Psalms 47:7 KJV say:

For God is the King of all the earth sing ye praises with understanding.

Understanding something leads to a trend of behavior and behavior controls the pace that one moves in.

How can we then live on the earth as it is today? Should we worry and wonder what is going to happen next? Should we fight for more freedom? Is there peace? Is there hope for a better tomorrow? What are the issues and things that cause us great concern?

When we understand that the earth belongs to God and we belong to Him too, then we can look in His Word for the “how to”.

I think the things that concern us as human beings can be categorized as follows:

  • Life
  • Health
  • Protection
  • Provision
  • Prosperity
  • Happiness

I choose these six because the majority of issues lie within these parameters. How can we then enhance them?

By understanding how God himself brought things into being and how He maintains them. The answer is so simple it eludes even the wise. God uses words and this in turn forms in our minds and is intentionally spoken out of our mouths creating the intended.

We can copy-cat God because we belong to him! He has told us in his words that we can use our mouth to succeed on this earth. Our mouth with the operation of the tongue can shape our world and that brings me to the word we all know as ‘affirmation’.

This is a trendy word used in the world today and it can be misconstrued as a New Age phenomena to shape and improve one’s status in this life. But what does it really mean for someone who believes in God?

For believers, it is more than just words, it is a tool or a weapon. When one takes God’s word and speaks them out, the words become a double edged sword.

Today I have put you in charge of nations and kingdoms. You will pull up and tear down.

You will destroy and overthrow. You will build up and plant.”

Jeremiah 1:10

To affirm is to believe in and state a solid truth. God’s Word is firm and true and I believe an affirmation is a loaded powerful phrase that one can say, read or write that affirms a set of beliefs or ideas that positively resonate with them. These affirmations then become integrated into the person’s being and lifestyle for the greater good because the angels use the spoken words to perform so they can accomplish that which has been spoken.

So let’s build some affirmations from God’s Word with the categories presented above.
