I began my walk today in the evening after a nap and as I did, I believe it was the Holy Spirit that said, ‘Things are coming. They are going to be hard to deal with and they’re going to cause people to compromise. You have to be more tolerant but do not compromise.’

I said, ‘Okay, tolerant. What’s the difference between tolerance and compromise?’

Tolerance, means that you allow everyone to exercise their free will, period. You cannot control how people behave or how people act or how people respond to things.

Compromise, on the other hand, is when you allow yourself to be influenced or walk in those ways you shouldn’t because you are either afraid or you wanna please somebody. So there’s a difference between tolerance and compromise.

So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

– James 4:17 ESV

So what was the Holy Spirit trying to say?

I believe He was trying to say that we cannot sin just because the world says this is the way we should do things. We have to walk in the ways of the Lord. Then as we were having this conversation, I saw this man walking with his dog and the man was literally being pulled by the dog and the spirit of God said, ‘See that, if you are tied to me, I will lead you Not only in the way that you will go, but I will sniff out the places you shouldn’t go.’

I was amazed.

You see, you have to be more sensitive and tied to the Holy Spirit because the days we live in are becoming more evil. Only He can lead you in how and where you should walk, preserving us until the day we leave this earth.

Then the spirit said to me something that rang true to my core and that was that I often had a way of worrying about the future and work. But the most profound thing He said was that He, meaning the Father, does not bless or supply for us because of how hard we work, He simply does because He loves us.

Isn’t that something?

This got me thinking of the last two jobs I had. As soon as I picked them up, I was already planning my own path, but the Spirit stopped me in my tracks and reminded me that He shall prepare the path and I shall follow.

That’s the way it should be really: don’t look beyond this moment but trust God to guide your steps in all you do always.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. – Psalm 32:8 ESV

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. – Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV

Yes, the future is there, but He just needs you to just look at your present moment and leave the rest to Him and funny enough, a few days after accepting the job, I got a call that the family decided to go with a cheaper company.

That moment right there taught me a valuable lesson of trusting God and not having high expectations for He alone is my supplier. Glory to God.

So let’s us have a moment of gratitude to the Father for His love, direction and protection

Thank you Father, thank you. I am grateful that not only do I have you, more than that, you have me, you got my back and I am grateful.

I thank you Lord for the plans you have placed before and ahead of me that shall lead me where you intend for me to go in hope and prosperity.

Thank you Father, amen.
